My name is Julia Jackson, I have a degree in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College. I taught for almost 30 years before I retired, teaching most all grades between pre-K and 8th except kindergarten and 4th. I enjoy tutoring children. My philosophy in teaching emphasizes a good relationship with students. I begin all my tutoring by developing rapport and getting to know the students. It’s important to know the student’s opinion and thoughts about a subject. I strive to discover the student’s strengths and weaknesses. I seek to overcome their fears. I leverage their strength to overcome any weakness. Together we can discover a new zeal for learning and understanding.
